CIA released yesterday roughly 2,500 previously classified President’s Daily Briefs (PDB) from the John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson administrations at a public symposium at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, TX, entitled  The President’s Daily Brief: Delivering Intelligence to the First Customer.  The declassified documents are posted at  http://www.foia.cia.gov  along with a  40-page color booklet  describing the documents and the PDB process during this period. While a few PDBs have been publicly released over the years, the release of roughly 2,500 PDBs is unprecedented. The PDB contains intelligence analysis on key national security issues for the President and other senior policymakers. The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has approved the redeployment of 61 senior officers of flag ranks in the Nigerian Navy. The appointments affected 28 Rear Admirals and 33 Commodores. Nigeria’s immediate past National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has been formally charged with illegal possession of firearms. Charges filed by Nigeria’s Director of Public Prosecutions,  Mohammed Diri, indicate that Mr. Dasuki would appear in an Abuja court on Tuesday to face charges including unlawful possession of several assault rifles and ammunition. According to report by PREMIUM TIMES, the former NSA would be arraigned before a vacation judge since Nigerian courts are currently on vacation. The charges would be read to him, and he would be allowed to take his plea. The case will then be assigned to another judge once the courts reopens. A source close to Mr. Dasuki said the former NSA would most likely plead not guilty to the charges, following which his lawyers would move an oral application for bail. In the United Kingdom, a three-year-old child from London has been deemed an extremist and placed in a government re-education program.  Disturbingly, the young toddler is just one of hundreds of young people in the capital who have been labelled potential future extremists. The child’s admittance to the program has been enforced under the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act, which became law back in February this year. Under the act, educational facilities, including universities, are now required to assess whether any of their students are at risk of being drawn into terrorism  and report any suspicions. Dikwa is one of the towns taken over by boko haram terrorists in the north eastern part of Nigeria. According to PT Ng Boko Haram terrorists converted an abandoned chemistry laboratory at ​Dikwa ​College of Education in Borno State​,​ to a bomb-making factory, ​before the town was retaken by government troops last week, the Nigerian military said Saturday. The spokesperson for the army, Sani Usman,​ said troops from the 7 division discovered the laboratory during a mop​-​up operation in the area. Mr. Usman, a colonel, said some equipment including a welding machine and a mine detector were found at the makeshift factory. Also recovered from the operation we​re four Toyota Hilux ​pick ups.​ “The gallant troops are in a very high spirit and more determined to further pursue the fleeing terrorists to all known enclaves and sanctuaries,” Mr. Usman said. In a report from Press TV , footage has apparently been leaked from a staffer of U.S. Senator, John McCain, showing an ISIS “execution” video being filmed in studio. The video is very similar to those which portray the beheading of James Foley , as well as other victims. The footage lasts a little over 3 ½ minutes, and shows a man reported to be ISIS executioner, “Jihadi John” (a.k.a. Mohammed Emwazi ) standing before a green screen with a kneeling hostage in an orange jumpsuit. In this particular scene, the man in the orange jumpsuit also has a green screen hood over his head. All of this is being filmed in the presence of a production crew, and as an interesting side-note, notice the t-shirts and baseball caps being worn by the crew.
