Man 52 Years Killed His Mother

A man identified as Kunde Bravo, age 52 from Jenta Mangoro area of Plateau State who is believed to be under the influence of hard drugs on Thursday at about 6:00 am entered into his mother's room while she was asleep and slaughtered her.

Mama Yakubu as she was called met her untimely death at the age of 80 years by her own drug addicts son.

“He cut her with the machete and left her in the pool of her blood,” Baba Nati, lamenting to newsmen.

"We heard her shouting for help, on getting to her room, we found her lifeless body in pool blood.

Also, Moses Yakubu, a younger brother of the suspect, also lamented that the members of the house beat the suspect to unconsciousness.

He also confirmed that his brother is under the influence of hard drugs.

“He is into excessive consumption of hard drugs, and has been acting strangely of late,” he said.

State police command spokesman, DSP Emmanuel Abuh confirmed the incident, and said the police were already investigating it after picking the unconscious suspect for medical attention.
