iPhone 6 Plus Review : The Good, The Bad and The Bottom Line

THE GOOD The big battery provides long life, and the 5.5-inch screen is not only big but bright and high-contrast. Optical image stabilization improves low-light photography.
THE BAD The big footprint may not be for everybody, and the overall design is less distinctive than previous iPhones.
THE BOTTOM LINE The iPhone 6 Plus is an outstanding choice for those with big budgets and big pockets, but power users seeking even more flexibility should audition the Galaxy Note 4 as well.

Apple recently launched its two new iPhones called iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6. Before the launch of the phone, it was clear for the company that it needed to bring about some kind of innovation in the new device because Apple had been cashing on the same kind of device for a few years. And it does seem that Apple has managed to unveil some innovative aspects on the two devices, although the phones have still left many people unimpressed. Among these, iPhone 6 Plus is the bigger version with cutting-edge specs while iPhone 6 happens to be the smaller version with the specs accordingly toned down. We will go in depth about the features in the following iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 Review.

Key Features
Design:
From its sheer size you can tell that the iPhone 6 + was inspired by the iPad. Infact it is being referred to as the first ever iPhablet in some quarters. The rounded corners and softer edges reminds one of an iPad and makes users heave a sigh of relief that the sharp edges which was evident in the iPhone 5s did not make its way to this new model. The 6 plus is slightly thicker than the iPhone 6 measuring in at 7.1mm and the body which is made from premium metal further helps give this new iPhone that commonplace distinguished look.
Operating System and Connectivity:
The iPhone 6 plus runs on the iOS 8 operating system and is powered by the Apple designed A8 chip. By this what you stand to gain is a chance to play games in a higher resolution than your favorite game console and a processor performance which is 50 times faster than the original iPhone. Screamer! In the aspect of connectivity the iPhone 6 plus is equipped with Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC and USB, making sure that the transfer of data would always be an extremely simple task.
Displa and Camera
The screen size of iPhone 6 is 4.7 inches which is less than iPhone 6 Plus. The resolution of this phone happens to be 1334 x 750 which is quite impressive compared to the previous versions of the device. While there are device with better resolutions at the same display size, it can be said that the difference is not very perceptible at this resolution. The camera on this phone, just like iPhone 6 Plus, is 8 megapixel, although it does not have the video stabilization feature. However, Apple is clearly behind the competitors such as Sony and Samsung on this front, who have already released phone with camera of as many pixels as 21. In addition to that, there is also a front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Camera and Video:
If there ever were awards on Instagram (Instagrammy perhaps?) then those who purchase the iPhone 6 would be smiling home with all the awards. The 8 MP rear camera which is backed up with features such as optical image stabilization, dual LED flash, face/smile/blink detection and more is sure to provide you with picture perfect shots. Apple also boasts that they have redefined the world of phone video capturing as users would be able to do HD video recording with the aid of their celebrated iSight camera. The video camera is also backed up by exciting modes such as slo-mo mode and time-lapse mode.
Others:
We are accustomed to Apple surprising us with unprecedented phone features with each new model. Last time out we were treated to Touch ID technology where your fingerprint could be used as the password for unlocking your phone. This innovative feature is also present in the iPhone 6 plus but it is the revolutionary Apple Pay which is grabbing the headlines. Apple Pay (which is Visa, Mastercard and AMEX certified) helps make your shopping faster, easier and more secure by giving you the opportunity to pay for goods in stores through a simple and single touch on your phone.
The iPhone 6 plus is shatterproof which is enough for it to state its claim as the most durable phone ever. Predictive text input, iBooks pdf reader, TV-out, iCloud service and the brilliant Siri command are some of the extra features which makes the iPhone 6 plus look like its going to be the Floyd Mayweather of mobile phones.

BUHARI: TURNING APPOINTMENTS INTO DISAPPOINTMENTS

By Jaafar Jaafar Ponder over this Hausa proverb: “sawun keke ba’a gane gabanka”, which roughly translates to “a bicycle’s contact patch does not tell where it comes from or where it heads to”, and see how it aptly describes Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari. Bearing in mind the current realities in our polity, how would you, in your wildest dream, think the Secretary to the Government of the Federation will come from the North? The very North that has a President, a Senate President, a Speaker, a Head of Service, a Chief of Staff, a Chief Justice, and what not? While Mr. President is likened to the proverbial “sawun keke”, the pigmentation of his appointments may be likened to “birgimar hankaka”, literally meaning the wallow of a pied crow. When a pied crow wallows, the Hausa say, you will see both the white patch on its gullet and the black plumage that covers most of the bird’s body. In the appointment of the GMD of NNPC, President Buhari showed Nigeria...
