Marilyn Ogar, who was the former spokesperson of the DSS, during Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration has been compulsorily retired from the agency effective from yesterday. Ms. Ogar was served retirement letter and several others high profile of the agency by the new leadership.
Mrs Ogar is eyeing Seven more years to her retirement, but her early retirement may not be unconnected to her frequently involvement in political matters during her stay as spokesperson. Her actions portrayed the agency as a partisan government agency especially as she frequently told lies against opposition parties and individuals during her highly cerebral press conferences.
Early this year Ms. Ogar was also accused of receiving bribes from the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) to supply lorryloads of Dual Purpose Kerosene shortly before gubernatorial elections in Osun state
Flash Back : Ms. Ogar was demoted as the spokesperson in July after appointed of Mr Daura to head the agency by President Muhammad Buhari.
