OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI - Abbati Bako

WHO WANT TRUNCATE CORRUPTION, LOOTING, PROVES AND PUNISHMENT OF THOSE COMMITTED ATROCITIES AGAINST THE NATION's ECONOMY?
WHY NOT FORMER RULING PARTY AND ITS MEMBERS FOUND GUILTY BE ANATHEMATIZED PARTICIPATING FUTURE GOVERNANCE?
BY ABBATI BAKO,psc
YOUR EXCELLENCY SIR,
There is no iota of doubt that democratic system is about accountability, freedom of participation of all the citizens to have a say in the governance of the nation. Democracy is about leaders to be honest, trustworthy, accountable, patriotic, ready to lead for the welfare and benefit of the led, not for the benefit of the leadership. Leadership is a sacrifice---pure and simple.
Sir, it's now or never! If at this crucial time that the solutions to corruption, looting, embezzlement, mismanagement, misappropriation, theft and misuse of power has not being tackled; the future and hope of Nigerians cannot be ascertain by any analyst. Experts asserted that predicting the future as far as social and political science is concern, is very difficult; due to human nature in changes of his behavioral thinking.
Sir, in the democratic emerging nations, such as Japan, Thailand, China, Indonesia, India, Pakistan and many more (even in advanced democracies such as USA, UK, France, Germany and Canada) any person, company, political party, governmental or nongovernmental organizations try to commit atrocities (or committed) against the nation's economy must be dealt with ruthlessly also be anathematized (banned) in participating into political, social and economic sphere; either for life or for a long period of time.
Sir, considering the monumental damages (insecurity, epileptic electricity energy, inflation, robbery, kidnapping, corruption, looting, poor and sub-standard education, unemployment, oil theft etc) made by the former ruling party (PDP) in the past 16 years; especially the Nigeria's image among the comity of nations and economic stagflation/depression/aridity/destruction/suppression and poor/bad political governance, one can ask: can the PDP and its leadership be allowed to participate in the nation's future elections and governance? The enemies of this nation must be dealt with via law and order. We wish His Excellency (PMB) all the best.
Abbati Bako,MA,psc,Kent,bsis (UK)

An N2.4 million bribery scam is rocking the Delta State House of Assembly. The ultimatum was that without the N200,000 none of them would be cleared by the lawmakers. However, the source said, “If you were around during their screening on the floor of the House, you would have noticed that all the nominees were only told to take a bow” and to go. An aide to one of the commissioners who pleaded anonymity confided in SaharaReporters that the money was definitively give...

EFCC Arrested NAFDAC DG

Two weeks after whistleblowers at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) wrote a powerful petition to President Muhammadu Buhari alleging monumental fraud and waste of funds by its Director-General, Dr. Paul B. Orhii, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday swung into action. Dr. Orhii was grilled for several hours on issues relating to fraud and misappropriation of funds worth billions of naira, a source told SaharaReporters. The petitioners had accused the Director-General of awarding frivolous contracts and supplies; manipulating NAFDAC publicity and donations; international air travel racketeering; and compulsory recertification by bottle and sachet water producers.  The complaint listed 14 companies that are being used in the money games at NAFDAC. An EFCC source said Orhii was granted “administrative bail”...

We live like rats, yet Nigerians want us to be their friends –Policemen

He was drenched with sweat by the time he wriggled himself through the narrow entrance of his room into the passageway. Looking very depressed and drowsy that Thursday afternoon, he dragged himself along the hole-ridden passage and collapsed into the rickety sofa beside the staircase that leads to the upper floors in one of the buildings in the barracks. With frustration written all over his face, Emma Uden (not real names), a sergeant in the police, kept muttering to himself, but dosed off few minutes later. Apparently disturbed by the music blaring in his neighbourhood, Uden could not but open his eyes feebly and intermittently. His pain was obvious to anyone who came across him, but the reason for his frustration was largely unknown. However, as Uden would later tell our correspondent in a conversation he grudgingly consented to, since the apartment allotted to him in the barracks collapsed in June last year, he and his family had been living in the kitchen...
